About Me

Faith Skowronnek is a Chapel Hill-based photographer currently in their third year at UNC-Chapel Hill. Her journey with photography began as a personal pursuit, driven by a deep-seated passion for capturing moments and telling stories. Over time, this hobby has evolved into a professional practice encompassing both digital and film photography.

Faith's work spans a diverse range of subjects, from documenting rallies and social movements to engaging in intimate portraiture and evocative landscape photography. Her background in darkroom processes complements her technical skills, enriching her ability to create compelling, multi-dimensional images.

Through their lens, Faith seeks to highlight the nuances of human experience and the natural world, blending their artistic vision with a commitment to social impact.

  • Collaboration

My work has been featured in the Daily Tar Heel as an independent photographer and I have contracted with several groups on campus to document and promote social inclusion.

  • Focus

Although I have a varied interest in photography I always aim to create images that reflect my beliefs and worldviews, creating community and intention within my work.
